Our take
I picked up the DDJ-SX2 used, and it still feels like a pro piece of gear. The 4-channel layout gives plenty of room for mixing, and the 16 pads are responsive for triggering samples and hot cues. DVS support is a nice bonus if I want to use turntables later. The effects section with low/high pass filters is straightforward and sounds good. However, the unit is clearly older—no warranty, and the 48 kHz max sampling rate feels dated. The power adapter is included, but I had to hunt for the manual online. It works great with Serato DJ, but if you need rekordbox compatibility, this isn't it. Overall, a capable controller at a used price, but be ready for its age.
